#AYearAThon ending wrap-up

This week helped me a lot to catch up on reading again. I think that after months I'm finally getting back into reading. Which is a good thing since I'm starting a language and literature study at university in October.

Books I've read this read-a-thon:

- The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan (for #readwithben this month, not really this read-a-thon)

- Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard

- Paper Towns by John Green (got to page 28)

Total amount of books I've read: finished 3 books, didn't finish my 4th book in time

I really enjoyed this read-a-thon and I'm joining again in September, but I'm not sure if "Banned Books" will be a good theme for me. I'll see what I'll do there, maybe just read one banned book to get the experience.

#AYearAThon August day 6 + 7 wrap-up

I'm updating day 6 and 7 just in this one post because on day 6 I didn't read a lot. Only read 12 pages of Pretty Little Liars. I'm ashamed I didn't just finish it, but I went shopping with my sister, got family over for dinner and went to this festival a town over the whole night.

So today, day 7, I'll just finish Pretty Little Liars and start reading Paper towns.

#AYearAThon August day 5 wrap-up

Reading went pretty slow today. I ended up not reading as much as I planned on doing. I'm going to try to finish Pretty Little Liars by Sare Shepard after posting this, but I'm going out with friends in less than 2 hour and still have to get ready so I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it. 

Progress of Pretty Little Liars: 186 of 244 pages

I didn't plan on reading tomorrow because I'm going to a festival with friends. So if I don't finish PLL today I'll still be able to get those last pages in before leaving if I wake up in time tomorrow.

That's all I have to share today. Didn't do much besides reading a little and sitting beside the book, soaking up sun.

#AYearAThon August (officially) day 4 wrap-up

I'm just going to change the title today so my updates are on the right day again. Stupid me started a day early so my "day 4" yesterday was actually day 3 of the read-a-thon.

I finished The Faerie Guardian today and I'm really happy about it! Can't wait for next week to #readwithben and get to the sequel The Faerie Prince. (I've been bad and already started reading the first page, but I have to gain self-control and read Pretty Little Liars instead)

I started reading Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard now and I hope to finish it tomorrow. It's a short book, I should be able to finish it pretty quick and I have nothing to do tomorrow.

#AYearAThon August day 4 wrap-up

A great reading day. I didn't read in the them of the read-a-thon, I continued reading The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan for this month's #readwithben (Benjaminoftomes on all social media).

I'm totally in love with this series and I'll be finishing the first book tomorrow first thing in the morning. I could finish it tonight but I feel the tiredness taking over at the moment.

#AYearAThon August day 3 wrap-up

What I have realized today: #AYearAThon actually started the 3rd and not the 2nd. So I started a day earlier. Stupid me. 

Anyways, today I thought I'd have time to really get into reading, but again, I didn't read nearly as much as I wanted to. 

Guess I'll try to do better tomorrow. 

I got the Song of Ice and Fire series in the mail today, but buy am I scared to start reading Game of Thrones. These books are massive and all such thin paper and small font that it'll be a challenge to read them all. I hope I'll like them. 

I won't be reading it for this read-a-thon because it would take me too long. Kind of sad because it's the read-along book for this month's read-a-thon.

#AYearAThon August day 2 wrap-up

Day 2: the 3rd of August

I decided to continue reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I'm amazed by how much I like this book. The movie wasn't that great and that kind of made me put aside the book too. The book I own is also written in Dutch, which was another reason for me to forget this book. I like reading books in the original language if possible.
Boy do I regret putting this book aside for almost two years! It is amazing! Even in the Dutch translation and I'll definitely be reading all of Cassandra Clare's books in the future.

Recently I started joining Read-A-Thons and I'm surprised how my competitive mind makes me read a lot during these.

This month's theme is TV and movie adaptations. Right up my alley. Take a look at this month's TBR in my last post.

Since today I didn't have much time I only read a bit of The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan. I'm at page 12 of 298.
